Whom
do I contact in the event of a dental emergency?
Please call our office at 972-717-0077 and leave your name, telephone number and
a brief description of the dental emergency. Our answering service will then page
Dr. Leber or Dr. Erickson for you and they will promptly return your call.
What
makes you different than any other dental practice I can visit?
We like to think that our care for you as a patient as well as the quality of
our dentistry sets us apart. Your comfort and concern is our number one priority,
and we're not happy unless you're happy.
Do you accept referrals?
Yes, we love new patients! Our practice has grown exclusively through the referrals
and kind words of our patients. Your referral is the highest compliment that you
can give our practice. We welcome your referrals and will always strive to accommodate
the needs of your friends and family.
Do you accept my insurance
plan?
Yes, you can certainly use your traditional or PPO insurance benefits here in
our office and we will be happy to help you maximize your benefits and file your
insurance claims for you.
Traditional insurance is typically one
in which you can choose any dentist you desire. Our practice does not belong to
any PPO or DMO insurance plans. However, if you are enrolled in a PPO insurance
plan, you have the freedom to choose our office to care for your dental needs.
We are considered an unrestricted or out-of-network provider, so you won't find
our name on your list, but many of our patients feel strongly about being able
to choose their own dentist and enjoy seeing us on an unrestricted basis. They
prefer to select the dental team that they feel is right for them and one that
they trust to take care of their needs. Many times the best dentists are not listed
on dental plans because they already have healthy practices and many loyal patients.
In this day and age, we know deciphering your
insurance benefits can be confusing. We are happy to help you with insurance concerns.
I have a temporary
crown in my mouth. What happens if it comes off or breaks?
If it is in one piece, try to fit it back over your tooth. Keep in mind that the
crown is like a puzzle piece and will only go on one way. If it doesn't slip easily
into place, do not force it. If you can get it to sit back onto the tooth, you
can apply Fixodent to the inside of the crown; then gently put the crown back
onto the tooth, applying slight pressure until it feels secure; gently close your
teeth together and then clean off the excess Fixodent with a wet finger. A thick
mixture of Vaseline and talcum powder will work well if you don't have Fixodent
handy. Either of these materials will hold your temporary crown in place for a
short time if you can't come into the office right away. Be very careful when
you are eating since the temporary can dislodge again. Try to chew on the other
side of your mouth (good advice whenever you have a temporary crown in place!)
How can I safely
whiten my teeth?
With so many whitening products being advertised on the market, many of our patients
ask about the best method to whiten their teeth. Since every mouth is unique,
we need to evaluate your teeth in order to recommend a specific product. If your
teeth are cracked, chipped or discolored, Dr. Leber or Dr. Erickson may recommend
one of our restorative services, such as veneers or bonding. If you want to whiten
your teeth, we offer several bleaching products, including Zoom®, BriteSmile®,
Opalescence®, or tréswhite®. To find out which method is right
for you, call us today at 972-717-0077 to schedule an appointment for a complimentary
cosmetic consultation.
